We’re a Cricket club based in Brentwood, Essex whose First XI currently play in the Shephard Neame Essex League Premier Division which represents the highest level of Amateur cricket in England.
Founded in 1881 the club has a rich history and its association with Essex County Cricket Club has always been close. County and other representative cricket has been regularly played at the ground over the past 140 years. Several England players have worn the Club’s colours down the years, most recently Sky Sports’ Cricket Commentator Nick Knight and Gavin Hamilton. We also have the honour of being able to name numerous International players that have played for us, including West Indies stars Shane Shillingford, Darren Sammy and Jason Holder, and Indian ODI player Hrishikesh Kanitkar.
In addition to our successes at the upper end of the Amateur game, we pride ourselves in offering cricket to all ages, abilities and levels of experience. As such, we currently field four Saturday teams with plans for a fifth in 2016. This is in addition to our Colts section which caters for young cricketers aged from 5 through to 19, many of whom go onto play adult cricket for the club.

We are the Brentwood Sunday Football League, Founded in 1960, the oldest affiliated league in Essex.
A not for profit organisation, consisting of 8 committee members and over 1,000 members, including players, referees, supporters, club associates and supporting businesses.
Over 45 teams participate in the league that are in, or very close to the Brentwood Borough.
With myself as new Vice Chairman of the League, it would seem appropriate for us combine our large membership with that of the Chamber of Commerce.
- Why you/your company wish to join Brentwood Chamber ?
It seems prudent that the Brentwood Sunday Football League joining would benefit all of the committee, players, referees, support staff and businesses alike in the Brentwood Borough. Each team has over 25 people associated with them and we currently have 47 teams spread over 4 Divisions.
For 60 years as an Essex FA affiliated league, my opinion is that all of the 1000+ people should be benefitting from not only the sponsorship opportunities in our 60th year, but beyond. All the goods and services from your current Chamber members should be advertised to our members so that they, the league and the chamber benefits, alike.
- How you heard of the Chamber ?
I have been a resident of Brentwood for 43 years, associated with the Brentwood Sunday Football League for 23 of those. I have only just been elected the Vice Chairman and I knew of the great opportunities that the Chamber & the League can benefit from. I was aware of the Chamber for many years.

Financial difficulties, whether personal or business related, cause a great deal of stress. People tend to put their head down and think that by working harder and longer they will get through their financial problems. Sometimes this may work. Sometimes taking stock and evaluating options is what is required. This is how Bretts Business Recovery can help. You share with us the financial problems you are experiencing in a confidential, no obligation meeting. Bretts Business Recovery provides you with information on the options available to you and our recommendation on what we consider is best for you. “If only we had sought advice earlier” is a phrase we hear far too often for our liking. There may be solutions other than Liquidation and bankruptcy, solutions that cause less hardship for you, your staff and/or your family. Alternatively liquidation or bankruptcy may allow you to wipe the slate clean and start again. Bretts Business Recovery can help.

The level of expertise required to provide solutions for clients with specialist lending needs is far more complex than the mainstream market. As a result, it is time consuming and often confusing, but our case managers know their chosen sector intimately and will always be on hand to evaluate the circumstances and can provide options in just minutes.
The specialist lending market is growing as more clients have unusual and complex circumstances that won’t fit a standard mould . We recognise the value of strong working relationships and are committed to quickly identifying the best solution for your clients’ needs.
We value ‘partnership’, meaning that we have developed close relationships with our introducers and lenders by delivering on what we promise, just look at our Trustpilot reviews for what our customers say, and get in touch to see for yourself.
