I have been working with Travel Counsellors for 6 years and we are an independent travel company.
I have over 31 years travel experience and used to manage large stores in the Essex area including Brentwood.
I am looking to broaden my networking opportunities in my local area and would like to join Brentwood chamber of commerce as I feel this would give me increased contacts and perhaps to collaborate with other local businesses.
I have just attended your first evening meeting and found it very enjoyable.
Hello my name is Mychan and I am a Guild qualified beauty therapist and a Tropic skincare ambassador.
I have lived in Brentwood for around 15 years now and my passion is to share and educate everyone about the natural, greener and toxins free beauty choices that we have thanks to Tropic. I believe that some of us get stuck in a certain skin care regimes that you have been following for the past 10-20 years and one day just feel like you really don’t know what you doing, and I want to help. We can find a way that your skin will feel and look fresh again.
Tropic products are hand made fresh products that are toxin free, vegan and also cruelty free.
About The Owner
Katrin Dennehy is the owner of the local Tutor Doctor office which serves Upminster, Brentwood, Dagenham and all surrounding communities. With Tutor Doctor, Katrin provides an in-home, one-to-one tutoring service to local families, helping students fulfill their potential with the firm belief that everyone can learn and achieve with the right support.
Katrin is extremely vested in the success of those in the community. A former Vice Principal, having worked in mainstream education for over ten years, Katrin saw the need for providing a more personalised learning experience to students in order to support them in ways that mainstream education cannot offer due to growing class sizes and staffing difficulties. Especially once she finished her training to be a Special Needs Coordinator, Katrin realised that more specialised support in the home for those with Special Educational Needs would also be extremely beneficial. As the owner of the local Tutor Doctor office, Katrin continues to make a difference in the lives of those within her community by providing supplementary education in order to change the trajectory of students’ lives.
Katrin is also a parent of two‚ as well as having two step-children and knows about the stresses and demands on families when parents are working full-time and students are studying for exams and struggling to cope with the content in lessons as well as homework and revision when at home. So, when the opportunity came along to open a Tutor Doctor office, she jumped at the chance to offer this very important resource to other parents, ensuring parents and students receive a high quality service for their peace of mind.
Katrin has a First Class Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Language Studies as well as a Masters in Education. She has worked as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator and completed her National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO). Katrin has worked as a Designated Safeguarding Lead at her previous school and has a Level 3 Safeguarding Certificate as well as having undergone Safer Recruitment Training. She has also worked hard to address mental health issues in her school and is acutely aware of the consequences poor mental health can have on students’ progress and achievement. With such credentials, families can trust her ability to recruit an excellent team of tutors into her Tutor Doctor team.

Networking for business opportunities is my reason for joining
UK Freephone has been trading since 1996, where our prime business was supplying telecommunications services to businesses. We supplied everything from standard landline to broadband, non geo-graphic numbers. However we have now thought of adding PA, administrative and business services to our portfolio. As such we have partnered with a leading global provider of such services and are very pleased to be able to offer this in our local area.
Joining the Chamber of Commerce is a way forward where we will get to meet business people in the area, get to know other business that trade around. Mostly it is about supporting other businesses and being supported at the same time.
Got to know about the Chamber through searches of Networking group in Essex on google.

Jo has been a Director and Chief Executive of the Wilderness Foundation since 2004, but has been involved as Projects Director and Project Coordinator since 1998.
South African by birth, Jo has enjoyed a rich life of wild places in many parts of Africa as she grew up. She trained and worked as a Social Anthropologist during the time of Apartheid, working mainly with rural communities. Understanding and measuring the effects of value on wellbeing and encouraging people to respect and understand the value of wilderness and nature lies at the heart of her passion in her work.
Jo focuses on the effects of wilderness on developing sound youth leadership built on environmental awareness and ethics, and developing positive wellbeing and mental health in young people who are vulnerable or at risk.
Using the extensive wilderness network and her close link to South Africa and programmes running there, she merges best practice from around the world into creative programmes that suit British climate and culture.
Over the past 20 years, Jo has established a wide range of programmes within the Foundation to meet these needs of nature connections, individuals and society as a whole. These include Wild Swans women’s leadership, Sirius Environmental Leadership Programme, TurnAround Programme, Out There Programme and the Chatham Green Education Programme. Jo has been a passionate advocate for the Imbewu Programme in South Africa, and in 2014 launched a Scottish programme to mirror this. Jo also leads the South Africa wilderness trails out reach – keeping her love of the wild intact and sharing this with others.
Jo is a Master NLP Practitioner and Advanced Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. She uses her skills in behaviour change facilitation and motivation across the board, with a particular focus on the outdoors.
Wilderness Foundation is a charity based in Chelmsford which offers a range of mental health and wellbeing services for young people and adults, alongside supporting companies with leadership, team building and environmental CSR programmes. We would like to let more people know about us through networking so that more people can access and benefit from our services.
